SSM Health Oklahoma is pleased to have officially assumed responsibility for operations associated with the health care facility located at 2401 W. Wrangler Blvd. in Seminole, Okla. Effective July 1, 2022 at 12:01 am, the facility became SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital – Shawnee, Seminole Campus. The facility operates under the license of SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital – Shawnee.
“SSM Health St. Anthony is dedicated to expanding access to high-quality health care throughout our state, with a proven, long-standing focus in eastern Oklahoma,” said Joe Hodges, Regional President, SSM Health Oklahoma. “This is an exciting moment for our organization. Our Saints in Action are members of the communities we serve, representing our values of compassion, respect, excellence, stewardship and community not only in exceptional patient care, but in their schools, churches and neighborhoods, as well.”
The transition includes a full-service emergency room, laboratory services, imaging, inpatient services, physical therapy and a wound care center in nearby Shawnee, Okla. Four primary care providers have also joined SSM Health Medical Group on the Seminole campus, including Dr. Stephen Feuerborn; Marah Canfield, APRN-CNP; Amanda Kuehner, APRN-CNP and Tessa Tate, APRN. Nurse Resident Needed At Enid Bass

Angi Mohr, President, St. Anthony Hospital – Shawnee, and her leadership team will oversee this facility. A graduate of Seminole State College and a 2022 inductee to the Seminole State College Hall of Fame, Mohr has cared for rural eastern Oklahomans since 1992. She was named President of the Shawnee hospital in 2020, and prior to that appointment, she served in several leadership roles including Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Assistant Vice President of Nursing and Director of Emergency Department. “As a lifetime rural Oklahoman myself, and with personal ties to the Seminole Community, it is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the wonderful caregivers who have just joined our organization,” Mohr said. “Our incredible employees help us deliver our Mission – ‘Through our exceptional health care services, we reveal the healing presence of God’ – and I speak for the entire leadership team and our Saints in Action when I say that we are proud to provide health care to the community of Seminole.”
A dedication and blessing event is planned for late summer.
